It doesn't have to be very accurate, as you can adjust it afterwards.Īn alternative is to position the mouse at the point where you want to cut it (again, accuracy isn't important), then right click and select 'Cut flex here'. If it hasn't been attached to any other track (you can 'Disconnect' it, if necessary), select 'Straight flex' and specify the desired length. dragging it onto the working area from the track library, you should right click on it to get a list of functions available.
#Anyrail 6 manual how to
If I'm wrong and you do know how to manipulate flexible track, I apologise in advance, and you may ignore the following.Īssuming you want a short straight, or straight-ish, section of flexible track and you're starting with a full size piece that has been created in the usual way, e.g. It occurred to me overnight that maybe you're not aware that you can use flexible track in any lengths and curved to any radius within Anyrail. long gentle curves instead of completely straight sections. In my view, it results in more prototypical trackwork, e.g. I used flexible track as much as possible to design my layout, rather than be restricted by the lengths and radii of sectional track. If you need advice as to how to do any of this, I can give more specific instructions. Obviously, when it comes to laying the track you can substitute sectional track, if that suits. If the resulting curve is too sharp, remove the short straight to the left of the gap and fill the entire gap with a single piece of flexible track.įlexible track should also be used to fill the gap on the outer track, as it is not possible within Anyrail to use cropped pieces of sectional track (as far as I know). However, it may only be necessary to move the unconnected section of the inner track to the left and then use a straight piece of flexitrack to join up to the rest of the inner track.Īs RDS has said, you can use a combination of sectional and flexible track to complete the circuit.įor the middle track, I assume you've already tried unsuccessfully to use a short curve, so I would recommend using flexible track.

I agree with RDS's first point, as it looks to me that the curves on the inner and outer tracks are a bit too close, though it is hard to be certain just from the picture. I have used Anyrail quite extensively to design my layout - one day I'll actually get to build it! Hope this helps, let us know how you get on. In which case, you will have do as RAF96 has mentioned and add a length of cropped straight.Īs I said previously, I have not used anything other than standard track lengths myself but AnyRail have previously provided excellent support to me directly by email (get the email address of the AnyRail website) and in fact it was me that requested that AnyRail included the Hornby Buffers (item R083) and this was done within a day or so. Can you not use the same size short curve again?įor the gap at the very top of your picture, it is difficult to tell how big the gap is and I guess you have tried standard pieces. When you have done that, you can then add a straight to the left hand side of the inner track to bring it up slightly, after which I am guessing you will need to use a length of flexi track to complete the circuit.įor the middle track at the top of your picture, the gap at the right side, looks similar to the gap that you have filled at the left hand side of the same track, with a short curve. This will have the extra benefit of making your inner track a reasonable distance from the outer track, so that you don't have problems with longer coaches on the bend of the outer track, fouling stock on the inner track.

However, looking at your picture, the gap at the right hand side on the inner oval can easily be filled by just bringing the whole inner track section down and to the left a little. Although I have used AnyRail extensively and have a layout with 117 track pieces and 16 buffers, I have never used flexitrack as I preferred my layout to be symetrical so it just uses standard track lengths.
